I am an Assistant Professor with the School of Human Resource Management (SHRM) at York University. I completed a PhD in Management of Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources at the DeGroote School of Business in 2013.
My program of research focuses on the relationship between human resource management practices and organizational outcomes. In particular, my recent research looks at the effect of skill-, motivation-, and opportunity-enhancing human resource management practices on innovation and organizational performance. Also, I have several studies that focus on human capital development through the use of skill-enhancing human resource management practices, such as training. More broadly, I am interested in understanding how workplace practices and employment arrangements contribute to employee outcomes both at an individual and family level.
